Near the end of his life he prophesied the return of the the Israelites to the Promised Land and admonished them to take his bones with them when they returned. So the bones of Joseph preached hope and deliverance to all who would believe. Each time a believer passed by his tomb the bones would say "I'm still here today but deliverance is coming." More than three hundred years passed by but one day Moses commanded that someone collect the bones of Joseph and they carried them all the way to the Promised Land. Now whether you pass by the bones of Joseph in Israel or the empty tomb in Egypt the Bones are still preaching "see I told you so, God always keeps His promises."
