Prayer
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:14)
Prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. Athens UPC takes this role seriously and we emphasis corporate and private prayer. Even though we take time before each service to pray, we also have a special portion of the service dedicated to praying for the needs of the congregation as well as other requests we receive. We also have a prayer service the 1st & 3rd Tuesday night, of every month, where we get together to pray as a group.
